Titanic

Nearer my god to thee

Titanic

Beneath the stars, where the ocean sleeps,

A grand ship sailed, where the deep water weeps.

Titanic, majestic, with dreams in her hold,

A tale of heartache, in whispers retold.

Her sails kissed the heavens, her bow cut the sea,

With laughter and music, all hearts filled with glee.

Yet hidden beneath, in the dark depths below,

A whisper of fate, where the icy winds blow.

On that fateful night, when the stars seemed so bright,

An iceberg loomed large, taking all by fright.

A shudder, a silence, the world held its breath,

As beauty met darkness; the dance of sweet death.

As the ship filled with water, with chaos in sight,

The band played on bravely, through terror and fright.

“Nearer, My God, to Thee,” echoed soft in the air,

A melody haunting, a farewell to despair.

The lifeboats were filled, with love and with loss,

As the unsinkable dream faced its terrible cost.

In the cold, bitter waters, as hope slipped away,

A solemn reminder of dreams turned to gray.

Through the rush and the chaos, cries filled the night,

With promises whispered, the end now in sight.

A story of sorrow, of hearts lost to sea,

Forever remembered, in history's plea.

Good work. I have seen the original black and white movie of The Titanic, and it was very sad, and I could not find myself to watch again even with our modern-day actors.
