Tired

We all have a breaking point. Have I reached mine?

By Chris SantiagoPublished 12 months ago 1 min read
If I were twice the man I could be I'd still be half of what you perceive (NIN ish)

I'm tired of crying

I'm tired of hurting

I'm tired of the lies

I'm tired of the burn

Only to be spurned

I'm tired of trying

I'm tired of bowing

I'm tired of dying

I'm tired of cowing

never to overcome

the lables you put

I've lived and now I'm done

My soul crushed black as soot

But it always has to be me

The sacrifice is always mine

I'm the one that says goodby

No matter how hard I have tried

Held on with all my might

But I have no more fight

I am always just so tired

About the Creator

Chris Santiago

I've always found a bit peace and release in putting word to written medium. I'm by no means an accomplished wordsmith but I find enjoyment in it. My love for writing started from world building that being a dungeon master provided.
