In the End What Must Be, Is

Let this ship take me where it will

By Chris SantiagoPublished about a year ago 1 min read

How are you?

How have you been?

I've missed you.

Have you missed me too?

Or do you have a clue?

That you saved my life.

Saw me with a hollow smile.

I've missed you every day.

Something I can never say.

Till all this went away.

But it must be this way.

For nothing worth holding can stay.

Letting go is the hardest gift.

But the most important to give.

The heaviest burden and the lightest lift.

Know that my smile is no longer empty.

That my heart is full and plenty.

Now in this life I am ready.

About the Creator

Chris Santiago

I've always found a bit peace and release in putting word to written medium. I'm by no means an accomplished wordsmith but I find enjoyment in it. My love for writing started from world building that being a dungeon master provided.
