Time

As a kid I always thought time travel was so cool,

I thought one day we will be able to travel back in time and learn history,

Learn and be able to better ourselves

or go back in time and say that final goodbye...

And now that time travel is real i realize that the past belongs in the past

And you may be asking yourself "what the hell is this woman talking about? time travel doesnt exist."

To which I say this "woman" is talking about the fact that the government is trying to get rid of my rights,

The rights many woman have fought for and, are now still fighting for

We are going back in time..

I'm talking about the fact that war is just a shot away, all it needs is someone to pull the trigger

We are going back in time..

I'm talking about the fact that we can now say we have, excuse me,

we are living through a pandemic which has killed thousands

We are going back in time!

I'm talking about the fact that The lgbqt+ are being viscously attacked and discriminated against for simply loving someone

We are going back in time!

I'm talking about the fact that black people are dying and being killed like we aren't just living our lives, like slavery still exists,

Like i still need to ask for your permission to breathe..

We are going back in time!

These are things that are in our history books,

The same history books kids go to school and have to use as a shields from an active shooter, and yes your child did know what he was doing when he took your gun to school..

To those who dont believe in time travel..

it does exist, see im not talking about flying cars or robot butlers

im talking about time travel

time travel exist in the form of ignorance

Ignorance that blinds you from seeing,

Kids are dying

Woman are dying

Men are dying

Humans are dying

and we're not even talking about the rest of the earth..

And its because of us.

We are slaves to our system, which is severely flawed and outdated

Because we do everything for the people in power to protect us and all they do is take our money, our property, our kids, and our will to live as humans with rights.

We have everything we need to survive, but not the right people in charge to do it.

For years people have come forward giving us the right answers, but the people in charge won't help,

because "there isn't money in helping"

But let me tell you this

There isn't money when everyone's dead either!

The past is the past for a reason,

Its time we fight for our future.
