set for
(a) time,
while gently scrutinizing breathing,
i watch the contraction of a line.
a movement, not in body, but in mind.
***
linear consternations peel away to reveal the
Synchronicity
Simultaneity
Concurrence
of experience.
***
an inhale
stops short,
the glottis catch,
the mantra crack,
a useless reservation
***
til realization settles.
the breath is communication:
so long as it moves,
we are in conversation.
we are whole.

I am a non-binary, trans-masc writer. I work to dismantle internalized structures of oppression, such as the gender binary, class, and race. My writing is personal but anecdotally points to a larger political picture of systemic injustice.

Wonderful, kp
I like the twist in your title and it fits the poem. Excellent work💕
