Fixing mistakes
Loving myself
Wiping the slate
Beginning again
Challenging fate
Being a friend
Forgiving the past
Forging ahead
Setting the cast
Doing what I said
Facing the facts
Releasing the hurt
Stop looking back
My spirit, assert
Smoothing the edges
Minding the fray
Mending the bridges
I burned in my way
Steady the course
Steal the show
Becoming the force
That I used to know
Trying once more
When quitting seems best
Mopping the floor
With the doubt in my chest
Throwing away my excuses to stop
Remembering I am always enough
Comparing myself
To improve who I am
Acknowledge the weath
Of my, “don’t give a damn”
Accepting the me life has forged through the trials
Embracing the truth
Reinforcing the smiles
This New Year’s resolution
Opens the door for tomorrow
Time to find the solution
For our time, is all borrowed
