Time has flown

Time flies when you're growing up

I woke up one morning and what did I find?

Two little animals of an unusual kind.

One was a tortoise who held a clock.

The other other was a hare dressed like a jock.

The tortoise moved slowly with clock in hand,

And at that time of my life had little demand.

The whole time I felt so calm and serene,

And innocent to the fact that the world is mean.

Then came along that pesky hare,

And from the tortoise's hands the clock he did tear.

While holding the clock the hare ran fast

Until I don't know how many years had passed.

I ran to my mirror and lo and behold,

There stood a girl, seventeen years old.

It's amazing how much time has flown,

Now that I'm seventeen and almost grown.
