Time Goes By

We don't take the time to enjoy time

Time seems to fly by day by day

Floating in dream world in any way

Fighting the clock and losing time

What will you have accomplished when the clock chimes?

Everyday isn't promised and every second matters

If time stops does that also stop the chit chatters?

Do we dwell on the past or finally live in the present?

Or do we sit and wallow in all of our discontent?

If every second counts, then why do we waste so much?

Not treasuring a single memory, not even a single touch

I live inside my head cause this world is full of pain

And I feel that with this pain there has to be some kind of gain

Every second a person dies and another soul is forgotten

But some of the our remembered legends are down right rotten

We idolize the evil and sometimes ignore and neglect the good

And then wonder, over time, what happened to our neighborhoods

Time goes by and voices go unheard

Then the voices that we listen to are extremely absurd

Those making a choice to correct the future's time

Need to be acknowledged NOW, not when it's their eternal bedtime

So why not enjoy every second while those seconds are here

And enjoy this time rather than living in fear?

The clock never stops and the days never cease

And time will continue to fly even after we're all deceased
