Time Away

A selfless misconception

Moments weathering a devoted departure.

Freely assurances found floating astray within inches of wet peaceful reminders.

Drawn out distractions seen absorbing one's own thoughts, purifying elsewhere.

Dampened compelling isolations solidifying a serene journey.

An anticipated disgruntling matter vehemently left wounded in lingering distress.

Curiosities yearning selfless setbacks shunned by way of happier recollections.

Instead, unknowingly abandoned mishaps branded with profound regrets of lured streams prospering under unfolding neglect.

As feared stolen flashbacks are spotted drifting throughout elapsing, unreachable waters.

Where unwavering summons are caught sinking unheard detachments, timing one's supposed comeback.

Unleashing waves of burdening nostalgia appearing lost on reliance.

I like how you described moments as like the weather. Or that they push one to withdraw into nature to unwind. To forget... Using distractions to purify something that once hurt. The feeling of distress could be felt through this. Even in the memory of what took place before. I am glad you're choosing happiness over the burden of bad memories. I love that the stream, the pond or river took your pain below water so that you could come back to us here on Vocal, feeling refreshed. Welcome back Valerie 🤗❤️
