A Perishing Love
An enduring matrimony finally ending
A couple of drifting counterparts are fronting an incurable marital breakdown,
An awkward longing quest seeking to recapture a once fitting devoting attachment.
A mirroring wall of reenactments outing a colliding dying spark.
Deliberate gatherings of beloved somber moments sobbing openly for any reversible, everlasting hopefulness.
Relinquished tracings of priceless adoring bliss swept conveniently away by whispers questioning this withering estranged interpretation.
A splitting binding inclination, fueling external remnants of another fondness hurriedly waiting nearby adjoining lifelines.
As concerning parting voices further express wilting detachments beneath neglectful bonding.
Undone by daunting persuasions ready to pursue elsewhere a reasoning departing logic.

Oh my. This speaks of so much pain. Trying to rekindle sparks — once both efforts collide — it die down again. The breakdown seems to be incurable, maybe because the somber moments became the only thing that is left to talk about. The bliss that was there, interpreted as if it was all false. Hmmm. Neglect, I know from experience, can be very painful. Once it has happened it’s often hard to come back from. Especially if the person stepped out of the marriage. Is this poem autobiographical? ♥️🤗
