Tiger Who lost his face
a different poem | a group couplets

In the heart of the wild, where shadows dance
Lived a tiger, once fierce, in a timeless trance.
His face, once adorned with stripes so bold
Now scarred and battered, a story yet untold.
In a world of green, where the rainforest sighed
He roamed with a spirit, so full of pride.
But one fateful day, a mirror did appear
Reflecting a truth he could not bear.
The glass shattered, and with it his gaze
Revealing a face lost in a tangled maze.
He thought it was another, a rival, so near
But it was his own reflection, his greatest fear.
Confusion and anger, in his eyes, did ignite
He pounced and roared in the failing light.
But the mirror remained, shattered and cracked
A revelation of truth, it never looked back.
As the days went by, the tiger grew wise
Now, in the heart of the wild, he roams with grace,
A tiger who found his true self, his true face.
In the broken mirror's reflection, he did find,
The beauty that's deeper, the soul's design.
He saw through the illusion, through the disguise.
His face was not lost, nor broken, nor torn
It was a mirror's deceit, a trickster's scorn.
