Throw Me a Bone

Throw me a bone with your words, let me feel something like I’m human,

show me I’m not dead inside, that I’m not stupid,

for believing in something again.

Feed me with your belief in me, see the soul that’s still worthy,

of love.

Let me lap up, drink up, not mess up, the playful words that make me dance ‘round the room - but then try not to trip up,

and fall flat on my face - oh god, I’m such a disgrace!

Throw me a bone with your words, let me feel something like I’m human,

give me something to believe in,

again.
