Through hardship, you carry on
Embraced by the stubborn spirit within

Many there be
Who have no idea, or can even imagine
The hardships within the daily lives of others
Or the steadfast and unbroken spirits
Of brave souls across our orbiting globe
East, west, north and south, they carry on
Oblivious to the ease and comfort
Enjoyed by their counterparts in high rises
Skyscrapers, comfy offices and cubbyholes
And modern marvels of architectural inventions
Focused on the task at hand, they toil constantly
Awaken every day, without complaint, no time
To dilly or dally, life must go on, matters what
No insurance, medical plan or hope of proper care
Their lives pass in seeming obscurity and anonymity
Working, laboring, sweating, on they trudge
I wish them peace and rest within our time
May their burdens become ever lighter
I believe in my heart, that these are the tired souls
Who reap the just rewards, somewhere peaceful
Somewhere glorious, in paradise, restful...and
Teeming with delectable culinary abundance
In the time which exists beyond our time
Bless their weary soul's hardship and trials,
Welcome them to newfound and deserved, forever rest!

That final line "Welcome them to newfound and deserved, forever rest!" got me. I can't even begin to explain to you how deep that cuts for me right now.
“Modern marvels”… brilliant use of alliteration. There’s a lot to contemplate with this one. :)
