from a woman, scientist and music lover

By IsabelaPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Music is a scape from the concrete world and its rules

The concrete world comes in the shape of an older white male telling me how I should behave, work, play, love, live, dress, be

It is more challenging than it seems

It is more challenging than I would like it to be.

When I close my eyes, and I focus on the melody of the present moment

On the creation of a group of people who are present and focused

It seems all life and its purpose are contained in that moment

Time lifts

I’m floating

Then I come back

Oppression rules

Corporations dictate the game

We do research, we want to save people’s lives, but at the end of day

Only what makes money forges ahead

It’s brutal

I feel oppressed as a woman,

then I remember that I’m privileged, I’m free

Millions of other girls aren’t free

They can’t dance

They can’t sing

They’re suffering

And the boys are suffering

Boys need love too

The paradox of the modern life in affluent countries

When you feel guilty and unable to fully enjoy the gifts of life

Nor have space to feel your pain,

Because you must be happy

So, I ponder

I wonder

I decide to feel the pain

And the joy

And the boredom in between

I decide to take all in

Beautifully and mysteriously

During these moments of acceptance

I feel like the universe talks to me

Keep going

You can and must change the world

Through my eyes, I can not only see myself as a catalyst of good

But I can see others

I can’t do everything on my own

I must empower others to do what they’re capable of

Together we can save humanity ,

Make amends ,

Heal our wounds ,

Rediscover ourselves,

And our love for the natural world

I have hope

And I love music

About the Creator

Isabela

As each second unravels miraculously in the present moment, we have the opportunity of letting go who we think we are to become something completely new.

I'm exploring the becoming, might as well have fun and help others along the way.
