though innocence gone
Poem, inspiration, motivation, encouragement. Let's strap on the calendar change because reflective.
when innocence was
the world seemed lighter, hopeful
when worries did not plague me
the world seemed brighter, happier
that was fleeting
the world's facade was then lifted
revealing the rotten and disturbed
then the world felt darker, colder
though innocence gone
the world is still light with hope
the worries can be lessened, dulled
the world can be brighter, happier
won't stay fleeting
the facade lifted, the truth is
the world is neither light or dark
But lots of different colours, tones

Pandora's Box where hope arrives in every color of the rainbow (& beyond).
The world may be a lot of different colours, but one day, I'm gonna paint it red, with the blood of my enemies! Muahahahahahahhaaha!!! Kbyeeee! Loved your poem! 🍩🥐
This is really a beautiful piece, Pal! Love your flow of thought here. I really like your concluding thought, the shades of colors, tones. Very interesting to ponder. Great piece!
Love your summation...the balanced soul in a real world!
Wow this might be my new favorite. I don’t know, something about the rhythm, flow, makes me melt reading it. The impact of the following: “when worries did not plague me” “though innocence lost” …those are just stellar. I couldn’t quote the entire first half and be happy about it, so yeah, but those lines are phenom. 💜
What a beautiful reflection!❤️
Yes the “facade of the world lifted”.. I’ve felt the feeling associated with your poem a lot!
And the light and bright is all the brighter for it, no? ❤️
