Those Without Bodily Freedom

For They Taught Me Lessons I Would Not Have Learned Without Them

For I recall a day when I saw those less privileged than I

For I recall a day when I saw those who could only control the movement of their eyes

For I recall a day when I saw those whose voices were mute, nonexistent were their cries

For I recall a day when I saw those whose bodies were prisons unto their own lives

They taught me that freedom does not exist in their control of the external outside

They taught me that freedom comes from the internal state of one’s mind

They taught me that freedom means mastery of one’s emotions, which is hard to find

They taught me that freedom relies on submission to feeling what’s inside

For they chose to not feel shame

For they chose to not feel pain

For they chose to not deal with other people’s games

For they chose to take life within their own frame

It made me sad upon realizing the difference in autonomy

It made me sad upon knowing how certain people are pushed aside in this society’s economy

It made me sad upon not being able to help as I lacked knowledge to improve their lives’ quality

It made me sad upon imagining the disregarding of them as people lose a sense of humanity

Hence my interest in medicine and science

Hence my studies are about FDA compliance

Hence my desire to help repair bodily injuries, against harm and degenerative diseases I wish to be a part of the defiance

Hence my appreciation for how others live their own lives when it comes to self-reliance

I want to give others the bodily freedom that I have such as to scratch their own nose

I want to give others the bodily freedom that I have such as to wiggle their own toes

I want to give others the bodily freedom that I have such as to lift their legs and elbows

I want to give others the bodily freedom that I have such as to choose where their life goes

I can understand if it’s wrong of me to see another person’s body as a prison

I want to understand if it’s wrong of me to have a different vision

I want to understand how to make and improve advancements in cellular division

I want to help provide the resources and capabilities provide for surgery that’s more than just revision

I have a vision

Of using cell division

And replication

To undo the devastation

From real world accidents and diseases

That are degenerative as I want to work with a group of geniuses

As I can’t stand

To see my fellow man

Being fallen by something that we have yet to fix

So as we dive into science we implore and explore what makes up our matrix

We’ve come so far along the way that we can print our DNA

Then have that transcripted and transcribed into RNA

As it travels to the golgi apparatus

As the proteins fold and mold into a new form of status

From structures that go from primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structure

Even as we replace cells that’ve been lysed and ruptured

For this is the power when it comes to genetic therapy and gene printing

The future of medicine is advancing and its sparkling right at us, just barely glinting

No more shall we run away and hide our tongues, No more flinching

I’m tired of playing games with people that only want to shirk the burdens onto others preventing us from inching

Forwards to a greater development for human society

As we begin to ensure that every human can unlock their potential, removing all hierarchies

That are biased when it comes to blocking people for things out of their control

Yet like the body is combined of millions together, we through the generations combine as a whole

And begin to conquer the matrix of our own flesh

As science, medicine, and philanthropy have always been intermeshed

No longer shall we hold back on necessary procedures, we must confess

We must address

The necessary evils for the ultimate good of our kind and our world to continue to distribute our gifts since we have been blessed

And no more

Shall we be poor

When it comes to limiting freedom’s that are more than inherent

As we teach this to ourselves and the those after us that we must parent
