This tiny band of gold
A poem of couplets about the meaning of the ring
There’s a lot to be said for this tiny band of gold
The memories it could tell, as we both grow old.

I know that it is not much, but it was the best that I could do,
Most importantly, it tells you how much I love you.

And on our wedding day, “With this ring, I wed,”
Will be the words that will be said.

Every time that you glance at it, remember what was said,
let those words and feelings be your light for times ahead.

There is more than meets the eye, in this tiny band of gold,
The love that it must hold, as together we grow old.

[Author's note: Gold has always held a special place in wedding fashion. More than how big it is or how much it weighs, its simplicity symbolizes love, commitment, and promise between two people.]

I love this, it was so sweet and meaningful. It reminds us what is truly important, what a ring symbolises. I believe this poem can bring back the passion and appreciation that sometimes wander.
