As the windows fog they show all

That’s happened in this place

The handprints of those who walked before

Even some imprints of their faces

They tell stories of days of toil, woe, and joy

Of games played, actions done

And many a moment between a girl and boy

Since the time this place begun

No one ever thought or bothered to clean

The windows and their panes

After the years that would be mean

For the memories there cannot simply come again

Across the walls are scribbles and such

To mark the time and place

Of many a start and many an end

Childish larks and young love tactics
