This Is Where the Silence Has Waited
Epiphany in the calm of reflection
All prior notion of fear has now faded
As the piercing din did die, for
This is where a silence has waited.
Tarnished token luck had hated
Now discarded in pockets or bins.
All prior notion of fear has now faded.
Tongued words freed from our teeth gated
In limbo between mind and lip.
This is where a silence has waited.
Omnipotent sky stretched over lives, dated
Whether dark or lit by the sun.
All prior notion of fear has now faded.
The field of rye with catcher related,
A boy in it's midst at a crouch.
This is where a silence has waited.
A lone drop of dew turned to a pour
And the deluge fell on our brows upturned.
All prior notion of fear has now faded, for
This is where a silence has waited.
