This Christmas Without Them

Three years now,

since Jimmy left,

the fifth of December,

still hits hard.

And this cold year,

we face the first,

without Brenda,

by our side.

The tree is lit,

the room is full,

yet both of you,

are missing still.

We feel the shift,

around the table,

a quiet space,

we cannot fill.

It is not loud,

this kind of grief,

it comes in waves,

through little things.

A joke unsaid,

a chair left bare,

a moment paused,

because you’re gone.

We miss you both,

as families do,

steady and real,

deep in the bones.

Jimmy’s laugh,

Brenda’s Smile,

the way you both made,

our life feel safe.

Christmas comes,

and so do tears,

but they are soft,

and full of truth.

You are still part,

of who we are,

still in the days,

we walk through now.

This year is hard,

but we hold on,

to every piece,

you left with us.

Loved as family,

missed as family,

remembered clear,

this Christmas time.

loved and missed by My brother John and family. My sister Dorothy and family And Marie and Phil and Family.♥️💔♥️
