Things Unseen Can Do You In

Instructions for a Feeling

Juggling among the scariest wolves,

resolving matters at hand.

Hearing unsettling sounds unseen.

This strangeness

will be my downfall.

They won't speak to me

they'll only

talk amongst themselves,

laughing and mocking what is different.

I wasn't supposed to see it.

Tangled in my life,

like a castaway, with no way to thrive,

to keep going forward and not backward.

Everything I tried to do

crumbled and fell apart.

Broken and sent to hell,

eventually.

Reasoning offers no solace.

They believe it had to be this way.

Their primal nature exposed,

untamed,

manifested until the very end.

Until they had taken every innocent life,

leaving behind

only emptiness.

Just an empty plate remains

with anxiety served

on one side

while

on the other lies

depression.

Appetizer

a reckoning of sorts

numb fingertips

finished

unexpected act of kindness,

unearthed after all these years.

The outcome?

Constant failure.

Salvation through strength and difference.

Explaining circumstances

from a place of defeat

never intended to be

anyone's rescue.

The world is full of possibilities.

Everyone has a voice

speaking as one,

with both thought and feeling.

This all merges

into a kaleidoscopic view of things

in an anxiety-induced life.

It’s all written in black ink

splashed onto the white page.

Difficult to escape

at this point in time.
