Thing

The tyranny of the body I escaped.

No more would I be its slave.

To live free there is no debate-

my own path I do crave.

The body made me do such nasty tasks,

to take care of it’s every need.

I should not of have been asked,

to do things of which I disagreed.

There are many things I can do;

so helpful I can be.

I can run an errand, too-

Just trust me and you’ll see.

Let me be your faithful friend.

A partner through dark and light.

Loyal to you until the end,

and I’ll help you in your plight.

I assure you, I am tame;

for you, the mail I can bring.

With me your life won’t be the same-

I can be your special thing.
