What is the meaning of life?

Life doesn't require a fixed definition of meaning,

yet we still search the very edges of our drive.

We create our purpose in the pulse of being alive.

Philosophers carve maps of the mind and soul,

insisting truth must anchor what we strive for.

Life doesn't require a fixed definition of meaning.

Many claim our worth is forged through pain,

that suffering is the greatest teaching of survival.

We create our purpose in the pulse of being alive.

Others say that joy is what gives us a sense of fulfilment,

a flame kept steady enough to thrive.

Life doesn't require a fixed definition of meaning.

So let the questions swarm uncontrollably;

they matter less than the moments that make us feel whole.

Life doesn't require a fixed definition of meaning;

we create our purpose in the pulse of being alive.
