There You Are

I was always meditating

To clear my head of any thoughts, irritating

One day I felt this wave of electricity

The first time I connected with you inside of me

I felt your soul reach out and grab mine

And ever since then I knew it was just a matter of time

Years had passed without a connection

Years and more years of introspection

I began to think what I felt in my heart

Was just a projection of grandeur thoughts

I traveled the world seeking a ghost

Gave up on love but found a jolt

A jolt of life and self love I had lost

I always gave much of myself at great cost

But began to find healing and love for my life

While traveling the globe, about year five

I walked into a bar where the bell on the door ringed

And thought "How funny, I think I've just had deja vu", and grinned

I ordered a beer and then I heard a voice

The tone of it made my nervous system rejoice

I turned around and there you were

One look in your eyes and I knew for sure

You caught my stare and we locked eyes

The heat inside my body began to rise

As we both stood across the room and began to smile

I felt my heart open and couldn't look away for awhile

I could feel the whole universe inside

Spill out of me and reach out wide

Every atom in my body tingled

And I could feel yours spill out and mingle

Like stardust as it flows to earth

In that moment, I began a rebirth
