There Will Be Peace
A poetic satire
When we think then
There will be peace
When we try then
There will be peace
When we hope then
There will be peace
When we love above differences
Refusing indifference and strengthening each other.
Calming the enemy, welcoming
The neighbor as family then
And only then there will be peace.
When the storm of war edges closer
And closer and closer. We can
Meet that stormy weather with
That breath of life, that silent power
That unbridled hope never deferred
And as one people hoping for
A better world say there will be peace. And as our children grow not in power and privilege but in harmony respecting each other differences and creating meaningful friendships. The future is peace.
