A Perspective On Change

There’s no doubt

We’re not getting out alive.

So, what is this life for?

Why are we so vulnerable?

There’s no doubt,

I don't understand.

We can't control, we can't let go,

We hold onto something so fragile.

I loved it and I hated it, I forgot why.

Longing for the day I’m being set free

From the burden I (they) gave myself.

So, let’s reset.

Is this the life I need?

Is this the life I want?

For how long (won't I change)?

For what purpose (will I fight)?

From there to here,

I found something inside of me.

To think by now I’d know this place (of me)

It will always amaze me.

Tear down the walls,

Build up the bridges.

At dawn, I’ve seen you reach sunset.

Am I too late or am I too early?

There’s no doubt,

I am the key.

Savouring the day I’m being set free.

(Be)ing set free.

There's no doubt.

This is what this life is for.

The answer always was...

Within the one looking outside.
