Rotten Core Behind the Shine”

A society that smiles in mirrors while hiding decay in its heart.

We smile at mirrors, polished, gleaming bright,

A perfect fruit in golden light.

But turn the lens, the shadow shows,

Rot inside where no one knows.

***

Our streets are ripe with gilded lies,

While hunger haunts unseen eyes.

We bow to masks, applause in hand,

Ignoring cries across the land.

***

The apple’s blush, a fleeting cheer,

Hides bitter core, the rot of fear.

We trade our truth for fleeting fame,

And wonder why the world feels pain.

***

O society, oh mirror’s twin,

How many hearts must rot within?

The unseen rot, the whispered grief,

Outlasts the shine, beyond belief.

*******

It’s time to stop caring only about appearances and start tending to what lies beneath. No mirror, no applause, no fleeting admiration can hide the rot within. We must face the truth, embrace honesty, and nurture what is real .. compassion, integrity, and empathy. Only then can we turn the decayed core into something worthy of reflection. Change begins not in the eyes of others, but in the heart of each of us.

Thank you for taking the time to look beyond the surface and reflect with me. May these words inspire honesty, awareness, and a little courage to face the truths we often hide.
