Down an old familiar path, your memory calls me

Dappled light escapes, pointing the way

Unrecognizable shadows - waiting for me to recall

And watch me drown in your eyes, like the sea

I remember your touch, like the warmth of the sun

your lips -like the cool morning dew

Tastes of julep and salt mingled sweetly together

As you pull my body, gently to you

The rush of those memories

Spark a fire in a place, long removed from the flame

Goosebumps crawl up my back, like a wild drunken dream

When I remember your voice saying my name

love poems
