The Wonderful World of Calliope June
An attempted early character sketch in Ballad form. Feedback appreciated!
Calliope June,
born of the stars,
or maybe the moon -
her essence is magic
*
from summer
to noon.
The color of a wildflower,
her eyes spark sweetened song.
*
She is an enigma
between the Autumn and the rain,
crushing mighty stigma
with her smile and her name.
*
With a butterfly upon her shoulder
and a unicorn beneath;
they travel common wonders
that make this world unique.
