The witching hour

A poem for Halloween

By Mat BarnsleyPublished about a year ago 1 min read

‘Tis that time of year again, the witching hours upon us.

To sow the seeds of mystery, of horror and disgust.

Trick-or-treaters walking hand in hand, dressed in clothes of the macabre,

As the days give in to the nights, as the light becomes the dark.

The witching hours upon us; friends, heed my every word…

Lock your doors, turn off your lights, and give in to the absurd!

Cast aside your thoughts of logic and find solace in reverie,

For the witching hour is here, my friends; enjoy this Halloween!
