The Pussy Willow is a plant that blooms as the Lunar New Year approaches. This resilient plant thrives in diverse environments, making it a symbol for peace and unity.

By the stream, where soft winds blow
A gentle pussy willow grows
It’s silent buds, delicate choir
Sing of peace, dispelling ire
**********************************************
A sparrow nests, red panda nears
Their melodies blend, strong and clear
No conflict spoils their blissful song
For the willow preaches, “All belong.”
**********************************************
Its branches reach, go high and low
Welcome all in its quiet glow
The stream reveals a face demure
A mirror of balance, true and pure
**********************************************
Then one storm came with painful cry
It lashed the willow, far and nigh
Yet still it stood, its roots held true
It taught the storm harmony’s tune.
**********************************************
When the winds grew tired, the willow stayed
Its whisper soft, no strain displayed.
“Bend with life, your anger cease
Like this storm, you learn of peace.”
