The Wild X-Wing
Forgive me, Stevie Nicks and SW fans

Just built a wild X-Wing, man those vanes sound like they're singing
Woo, woo, woo-ooo
That there's my rad Artoo, he's the brains that keeps me winging
Boop, boop, boo-oop
*****
Down on Dagobah, a swampy stinky wind
I got myself here, I'll get out again
Said to Master Yoda, “Everything stopped.
“Nothin' else's working.”
He was no more than nine hundred then
He was sad, broken-hearted
Something within him
But the moment he first laid
Eyes on me, all alone
Over the edge of an X-Wing
*****
Repaired my broke X-Wing, man those vanes will soon be winging
Woo, woo, woo-ooo
Help me, my bud Artoo, his language sounds just like it's singing
Boop, boop, boo-oop
*****
Well it sank today
And will sink again some more tomorrow
Smells like the compactor
Yeah, it's hauntingly familiar
Well, Leia can't shoot her way out of this one for me
I'd fix it myself with a plasma gun and a spanner
Spit and baling wire, nothing else matters
*****
A waterlogged X-Wing, wants to fly but now she's sinking
Blue, blue, I'm blue
Just like my lightsaber, they both glow blue – this funk is clinging
Aaa, aaa, aaaa-aah
*****
The clouds never move away and it rains
But the metal changes colors
Rusting out, to my pain
But with a slow, graceful flow of Force
Master Yoda pulls that puppy out and plops it on the shore
With a face that's so serene
*****
Here sits my poor X-Wing, muck and gunk and wow it's dripping
Aah, aah, aaa-aaah
I've gotta fix this thing, rotten swamp weed that I'm flinging
Gaah, gaah, gaa-aah
*****
Then suddenly, a vision, of my friends in pain and trouble – oh no
The Dark Side feeds my fears, so I work faster and faster
So I went searchin' that whole city
Up the ramps and down the hall
Feeling herded to an answer
I would not like at all
Of Vader saying, “No, I am.”
(Father, Father!)
*****
I miss my wild X-Wing, out in space it feels so freeing
Woo, woo, woo-ooh
Lightsabers battling, now my arm hurts and it's stinging
Ooh, ooh, ow-ooh
*****
Well, you healed me out on Hoth world
And you healed me after Bespin
It's a shame you're my sister
I hate last minute script changes, don't you?
The exact same age as you
That should have been my clue, my dear
*****
Let's ride in my X-Wing, fly away from hackneyed writing
Woo, woo, woo-ooh
Let's take some great big bets, how many sequels they'll be springing?
Ooh, ooh, oo-ooh!
