I Watched The Sparkles

Twinkle In The Sky,

I Heard The Sounds Of A Loud Cry…

And Then I Saw The Tears In His Eyes,

“He Said, “One Final Twinkle Before The Burnout,

Make One Wish And Save My Life”.

The fleeting beauty of sparkles in the sky is juxtaposed with a poignant plea for salvation. The imagery of tears in the eyes and the urgency of making one final wish evokes a sense of vulnerability and desperation. The poem captures a moment of profound significance, where hope hangs on a delicate balance. It leaves us with a lingering sense of empathy and the weight of the human experience. Loved it. And hope to read more of your work, thank you very much again for sharing this soul-to-soul journey that touched our hearts. Subscribed.

Nice job! You left me with shivers.

  • A lovely and well-wrought short poem. Burning out is something with which I am all too familiar, especially facing this heat in the Midwestern U.S. A double entendre?
