the barn became a rustic piece of history…it was more than just a barn but functional. It did more for the family than possible they knew themselves. It’s now time for retirement for the weathered barn. Sometimes the doors swing open during storms. The hail breaks more windows, allows fresh air to enter, and causes the rotten smell to vanish. The paint is barely there; the original wood can be seen. Old hooks can be found towards the back. Not empty but yet not full…buckets and straw can be found. Mice live within and find their homes within the walls. It’s not a pretty barn, but life used to be there. Horses, cows, and a dog could be found there at one point. The weathered look isn’t attractive, but the walls make the story.

If only walls could talk, wherever we go, we'll be hearing stories that goes wayyyy back in time!
