The Waves

Looking With Hope

I stand on the edge looking out below

My head spinning as I look out at the world around me

In the silence, I almost want to scream out

Sometimes I feel confused, sometimes frustrated

All life's mysteries that I can't understand

But as I take a breath, somehow it all becomes clear

I see waves in the water, this beautiful sight

As they hit the sand, I can't help but think of the irony

All of life's problems and uncertainties

Sometimes feeling so small

But like the waves, they soon pass

As I look at the stars and moon beam down adding sparkle

I smile, knowing that everything will soon be alright
