The Wave Pool
It was mere days before the end of school
We were waiting for summer to begin
Our class took a group trip to the wave pool
Making memories of remember when
This was my first time at any wave pool
We could hardly wait to get off the bus
Ready for fun and trying to look cool
I would soon learn that floaties were a must
We all jumped in without hesitation
The waves started and knocked me on my butt
The day would turn into devastation
I couldn’t figure out which way was up
This was the day that I nearly did drown
It was good to know how to swim, I found
