Kids Need Fresh Air

Why are we exposing them to chemical scents?

Soo, the little boy

will go to preschool,

just like his sister did

one summer.

It's harsh on him,

and on us.

For him, the routine,

for us, the fees.

Beyond that,

there is something

many may not notice,

but I take seriously.

The classrooms are scented,

they call it rules,

necessary cleaning,

germs sanitizing.

But I know,

chemicals are dangerous,

even more so,

for little children

with fragile hormones,

immature immune systems.

Here he is free,

with mother in fresh air,

checking native plants,

watching bees,

listening to the buzz,

soaking in sunlight,

a win-win.

But in those noisy rooms,

with rowdy kids

and unnecessary scent,

it's lose-lose case.

as a mother, I feel stress.

With great awareness and

strict discipline,

we healed his eczema,

and if he gets sick,

from chemical exposure,

it would be cruel.

I know the situation,

have valid concern.

They banned smoking

to protect vulnerables

what about the scent cockatails?
