We never plan the moments our lives change. They seemingly just exist, they just happen, but we always remember those exact moments and how they shape us, we define ourselves and our realities by these little moments. Like the moment I saw you, the wave of you.
So I think the thing about love is that maybe it is not always supposed to be forever, maybe it is meant to change you. To move you to places you haven't been and push you to limits above the sky. Make you see things in a way you never imagined you could.
Maybe it is to break you, into a million pieces, because we aren't meant to stay the same.
So we can become new again, to make us stronger, weathered and humble.
It’s to make you feel something so unexplainable the only thing we can do is call it love.
Sometimes the greatest loves can also be the shortest.
Like a tsunami wave it hits you, it starts calm then the intensity builds and peaks,
And the only way we can survive the high is for it to come crashing down.
Destroying everything in its path.
It shows up unexpectedly and turns your whole world upside down.
It is a stranger we know very well, that knocks on your door every once in a blue moon.
Intriguing mysterious yet somehow so familiar.
Sometimes we let them in. Sometimes we don’t.
I think the thing about love is, in those big and small moments when our hearts open.
The moments we hold onto in the keepsakes of our minds.
It may feel like forever, in those moments it may feel like time doesn't exist at all.
