The Waters

The Many Waters of Me

By Jacqueline ComptonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I move close to the edges

it pulls me near

reflecting on its surface

a layer of colours, spoken through

crystal like blues, moving

with depth, speaking to a fullness

saturated with life

slipping my toes into the waters

they dip in

dipping into the many colours

the many waters all at once

Waters that have come from

different directions

that have been on different journeys

different paths

yet all have met and gathered

in one place

in one home

full of a prism defining light

rich with pale yellow insight

The colours, moving, swirling, dancing

together in beautiful harmony

they all need one another

the reds

the blues

the innocent greens

It is a togetherness

offering a wisdom that is soft

and strong,

the calling of the pink rising sun

quiet and loud

deep and shallow

whispers and opens

the heart to a new light

full of delicate turquoise wonder

I dip my toes

into many different waters

to end up

in the right place

here

by the bank

of my heart

Courageously stepping into the unknown

as the waters move around me

my spirit sinks

deeper into the embodied

wondrous seas

I sink

letting go

into my heart

into the many waters

of me
