The Warmth Within
How the Cold Outside Warms the Heart inside
The frost paints lace on windowpanes,
A quiet spell, as stillness reigns.
Snow whispers soft beneath the trees,
A world cocooned in icy seas.
Yet through the cold, a warmth remains,
In laughter's spark, in love's refrains.
A crackling fire, a glowing light,
Transforms the dark of winter’s night.
The scent of cocoa, rich and sweet,
The shuffle of boots by thawing feet.
Blankets shared, with stories spun,
Of winters past, of joy begun.
A hand extended, kind and near,
A stranger’s smile, a gift sincere.
Acts so simple, yet they ignite,
A flame that burns through winter's bite.
Traditions held, year after year,
Like candles bright, dispelling fear.
A tree adorned, a table set,
The warmth of moments none forget.
For winter’s chill, though sharp and stark,
Shows us the glow within the dark.
A season’s gift, both cold and kind,
To teach us warmth in heart and mind.
