It all begins with the warmth of a fire

That you light with your heart and eyes

When spring blows on it

We are blind and nothing more

*

The fire is now bright red

We must be halfway there

Where hope remains, full of life

In our stories, anything goes

*

Time passes, consuming the hours

days, months, and years

The blue flame rings out the hour

Transparent with truth

*

Little by little, the fire goes out

And never close your eyes

A burn remains a burn

A scar made to measure

*

The flame is dead, what sadness

We stay with our friend Time

He will fade the doubt and the pain

Until the flame becomes vain.
