I didn't want to see an angel fall

Stumbling silently into reality.

I didn't want to see her lose her soul.

*

At full speed, posted on the wall

A frozen image that remains a mystery.

I didn't want to see an angel fall.

*

When the strings dance, two wolves call

One in broad daylight, the other silently.

I didn't want to see her lose her soul.

*

A tilted head, a smile for all

A heartbreak for her, an intuition for me.

I didn't want to see an angel fall.

*

A voice and a heart of crystal

Fragile but of immense beauty.

I didn't want to see her lose her soul.

*

In the pious life of the great hall

Regret slowly creeps into morality.

I didn't want to see an angel fall.

I didn't want to see her lose her soul.
