The Voice That Doesn't Speak
Dialogue Poem Challenge
“Hey, I’m on my way there.”
You should just go away.
“Can I help you with that?”
No someone should help you.
“Here, let me get the door for you.”
At least you’re useful for this.
“You are so pretty!”
Why can’t you look like that?
“I love your hair!”
Did you even brush yours today?
“You know I’m always here for you.”
Maybe you should try and be there for yourself.

I wrote this piece for Vocals dialogue poem challenge. Hopefully it became clear that the bold words were those spoken from a person and the italicized words were silent self deprecating thoughts of that same person.

The steps to losing a child
Step One: Lose a child. Not what anyone wants to happen and nothing you can do to change it, but you can go through steps to becoming happy again. You can go through steps to loving again. You can go through steps to become a new you because after losing a child you will never be the same person you once were.

i felt this in my soul , forever feeling a burden to people this is exactly what happens when im talking to people, what they say and what i think they mean is two completely different things!
