I collect your voices.

Every comment received,

a keepsake that

shapes our community.

***

Writers bloom under

gentle affirmations,

ferns that rely upon

the perfect balance of

moisture to thrive.

***

Each one of your offerings

provides warmth

as I slowly unfurl.

I gather your words

of kindness and support

and treasure them

for moments when Iโ€™m

feeling unsure.

In times of doubt,

I call on your soft notes

to hush those negative murmurs.

***

Sprinkle those mementos,

no matter the scope.

Shed a glimmer of light

in the corners of a writer's mind

Our voices raise each other up,

spark motivation,

and help our community flourish.

Title caught my eye for sure, concision on a topic that can be so vast and divisive these days-โ€œthe commentsโ€โ€ฆsTiLL here (all of us writers/collectors) to โ€œTiLLโ€ not to tear downโ€ฆthanks, Sandy and all who have commented and will keep commenting positivity on this platform and others.

  • Beautiful imagery! I especially like: โ€œWriters bloom under gentle affirmations, ferns that rely upon the perfect balance of moisture to thrive.โ€๐Ÿ’–

A beautifully gentle poem, I love that you intertwined nature and voice, as they can be much the same ๐Ÿ–ค Congratulations on Leaderboard placement, a well-deserved spot! ๐Ÿ–ค

  • Here's mine! A beautiful collection indeed, Sandy!

  • This perfectly captures what it feels like when someone takes the time to comment on one of your articles.

Clever title! Funny how there is an imaginary voice I put to individual comments I read, wondering how close to the real voice it is, lol. Your voice in my mind is in the alto range and sounds a little raspy with an Australian accent. My voice is pretty deep but articulate, and I have put a few of my stories to audio, but they are not ready to be released, lol. This was such a wonderful poem, Sandy. It's relatable and a great reminder of the wonderful community we are part of...

Yes! You touch all of us on Vocal with this poem. I am late to the game and I come in with a tentative confidence. I've trained myself to accept criticism, rejection, defeat, and the comments from other writers mean so very much. This one really moved me. Thank you for writing it!

๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’Œ๐ŸŒทOh that's a lovely thing to write about. To bring our attention to how much our comments mean to you. I do agree. This is the way we bloom. 'We bloom under gentle affirmations.' ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’Œ๐ŸŒทOooo we've become the ferns. I like that a lot. Those negative murmurs. Aww, I hope my comments along with others will help to hush those future ones. ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’Œ๐ŸŒทI could not agree more with this entire piece. Our minds attack us way too often. Only some good vibes could get us out of that dark hole. Love the rhyme and Rhythm at the end. Outstanding work as always, Sandy ๐Ÿค—โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค
