The Veil
and the Shimmering
The veil is thinning and shimmering
All around me beckoning me to come home
And I know you are there
Just barely out of reach
I feel I could touch you
Only if…
While you wait for me to let go and surrender
And pray for me to have the faith
That there are greater forces working for us
My fear of the unknown is
Nothing more than an illusion
A manifestation of ego
And human doubt
So much human doubt
My soul knows better
My soul knows the truth
You are me
I am you
We are one
You reach your strong arms out to me
Every night, holding me close while I sleep
Whispering in my ear
“You are and always have been my beloved.
You will be home soon. I love you so much.”
Keeping me warm and safe
Protecting me, possessing me
Loving me
Keeping me yours
Until we are truly together again
