The Unwanted and the Wanted
Some arrive like storms,
shaking rooms with their weight,
their voices loud, their hands too quick,
no one asks them to stay.
Others come like sunlight,
slow across the floor,
touching corners, warming hearts,
yet we cannot imagine life without them.
The unwanted pile in shadows,
their faces blurred, their names forgotten,
while the wanted are carried in whispers,
their laughter spilling like wine.
Yet in the quiet, the unwanted breathe,
their stories knotting into the wind,
that even the wanted tremble,
fearing the silence that waits beyond them.
Some are lifted, held, adored,
their presence like a ribbon tied tight,
while some are left, discarded, fading,
a lesson in longing we never asked to learn.
Still, both walk this earth together,
intertwined in ways unseen,
the wanted and the unwanted,
two sides of a single heart.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

A nice summation of different behaviours and how some people go unnoticed but can have a huge presence to those who see it. That 's what I took from your poem, anyway. 😉😉
