The one who may not stand out stands strong. – Michelle Liew

Dim.

Small.

Faint light.

Left alone.

No impressive glow,

No wick that bathes in golden tones.

********************************************************

Wind

Blows.

Snuffed out.

Wax runs thin.

Darkness engulfs all.

But the unlit candle stands tall.

Maybe the unlit candle is used to standing/navigating the darkness 🤔 I appreciate the differing levels of interpretation here.

  • So the only way to survive is to be in darkness, got it. Lol. Loved your poem!
