"Who am I, really?"

I ask. The galaxy gasps.

The universe laughs.

We think we are important, we are someone... the universe know better eh 😌

And I am none the wiser. Is the next line in my head.

  • Lol, I laugh each time I ask myself that question so I can't blame the universe for laughing. Loved your Haiku!

I love the humour and ambiguity here E.K! I.e the universe probably knows exactly who we are, if only we see what we are capable of!😊👏

"The galaxy gasps." I find I'm drawn to this line, pondering the spirit in which the gasp occurred. I think the last line informs it, like the surprise before a laugh. But I also like imagining the galaxy being emotionally impacted by the speaker's question, but the universe laughing at them both for their ridiculousness. Size and scope seem to be key to this haiku, and I love it. Very interesting and very much effective, as Kendall said.
