The Truth I Yearned For

Longing for your love

By ParvathyPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

I remember the way you smiled

beneath the blue sky, in the rain we danced, under the stars we swam.

I was your reason. Wasn’t I?

He never said those words, yet his eyes spoke in every glance.

It wasn’t for so long.

Our memories were like dreams.

Was loving you a sin?

Did I cross the line?

Suddenly, the world that revolved only us made me an outsider!

I stood watching you from afar hoping you would look for me

But u were too focused to be normal

For the last time we sat together—

Watching the sunset, the blue ocean trying to whisper to its waves its laughter splashing onto our flesh, the wind that's running through our hair.

I hoped this would be the end of the world!

Carrying the pain of my unresolved feelings, the grief.

I yearned for your love and truth, but it’s hidden

Decades have passed; do you still remember me?

I watched you sipping your beer under the soft music

Watching you from afar hoping you won’t see me

But you did!

Following me into the quiet dark night

Met you after 3 decades, with the same feelings that buried in me

I’m enraged at the world for hiding love

The moon following as we reconnected

Finally conceding your feelings

I’m at peace.

A Closure.

“You left me scarred yet I waited—

Thought time would heal it but only your truth could soothe it”
