The Tree

A poem of hope

In the appearance of death,

Lifeless and naked in the wind,

The leaves of summer have withered,

The blossoms blown away in the abyss,

The abyss of darkness and shivering,

The tree stands alone but strong,

Because deep inside the lonely branches,

A lifeblood flows inside the barren,

Hidden in the depths of the trunk,

Life is hovering in the stillness,

Ready to burst out again into the world,

The tree shall become beautiful once again.

In the appearance of death,

Emotionally naked in the wind,

The body may be withering away,

Dreams blown away in the abyss,

The abyss of darkness and shivering,

His child stands alone yet strong,

Because deep inside our lonely pain,

Christ our lifeblood flows inside the barren,

Hidden in the depths of our hearts,

His spirit hovering in the stillness,

Ready to burst out again into the world,

We shall become beautiful once again.
